Update & We Still Miss You!

Hi Everyone,

We hope you are doing well and are practicing good physical distancing.  We know this has been a strange and stressful time.  We have been thinking about you and are doing our best to figure out how to support you in our temporary new normal.

Just a quick update of what we know so far:
We are going to start calling families this week.  Please pick up.  We want to check in, see how you’re doing, see what resources you have available and to help you get sorted for the next few weeks of learning.

Once we get all of the information we will have a better idea of what our learning will look like and we will make sure you are supported the best way we can.

Please take care.  Know that we are thinking about you.
Wash your hands.  Stay 2 meters apart.
We will talk to you soon.
Kind Regards,
-Ms. Wilson & Mr. Schultz

Checking in.....We Miss You!

Hello Everyone,
We hope that this finds each one of you, your families and friends well and safe during a time that is uncertain. While more then anything, we wish that school and life could continue in a manner that is more familiar, your health and safety must come first.  This is why those in charge have canceled physical classes in schools until it is decided it will be safe to resume them in person. The board and the province will be making all the decisions regarding how education will be going forward.  Please know that in whatever form your education will take during this state of emergency, we are still your teachers and we will do everything within our power to ensure you receive all of the education and support that you require and deserve.
We have spoken many times in class about how we build and maintain a community that supports everyone. Much of the time this requires kindness and personal sacrifice.  Right now the community is asking us to be kind to others and to sacrifice our normal routines by staying home. We talked about “flattening the curve” and why this is important.  We also talked about physical distancing.  One way you all are helping is by staying at home.  While doing this we are also being asked to be patient and wait for decisions to be made about instruction and learning so that we are all working together.
However Spring break is still a thing. Please take these two weeks as the break that you would have had anyway. Please take care, and as always please feel free to be in contact via email. We will do our best to answer with whatever information we have.
We miss you and as always; Wash Your Hands J
Kind Regards,
Jordan Schultz and Marla Wilson

Children are naturally curious learners and there are opportunities at home to engage their learning. We have created a webpage that offers a variety of educational ideas to support literacy, numeracy and wellness at home for this week. The resources are meant as suggestions only. You may choose to use the links and activities as needed over the next few days as more long-term educational programming is considered.

Thank you,
